    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

"Frosty the Snowman," the timeless Christmas song, was written by Steve Nelson and Steve "Jack" Rollins. Soon after the song was written, it was recorded by Gene Autry and the Cass Country Boys in 1950. It was written after the success of Gene Autry's "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer."
