There has always been the gross double standard; men want to sleep around, but they want their wives pure and strapped at home waiting for them. You are never gonna change their mind. Just do what you need to do to be happy, avoid hurting others in the process and stop caring what men think of your sexual preferences.

It is called a societal double standard. It is still prevalant but becoming less so. It is something my husband and I discussed when we started dating and neither of us cared about it we are just happy with each other.
