    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Generally, moving violations including speeding tickets and accidents remain on your record for three to five years. Drunk or reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, hit and run and other major violations will remain on your record for seven years or more. Drug and alcohol offenses stay on your record permanently in some states.
