Help answer this question below.

Is there a Da Vinci Code? Do you believe it exists or is it fiction? Is the church trying to cover up the facts which may destroy their existance?

    There could well be a Da Vinci Code. Even if it was unravelled it would not prove anything by itself. It would just let us find out what Da Vinci and a few others thought.

    I do think the church, along with plenty of other organisations, gloss over or outright hide threats to their dogma, yeah. I'm not sure JC himself would be happy with that situation either...

    If you bought the book, where in the store did you find it? It's fiction. The Priory of Sion? Fiction. People have a problem grasping reality these days. Mostly because it's often boring.

    While the book is a piece of fiction, it does get people thinking.

    I think alot of secrets are being withheld by the church for various reasons. Though, in truth people have found some of them out.

    It's a lame ass book with so many loopholes it's silly. It exists in the same plane as Harry Potter, but at least Harry Potter was intelligently written.

    whether it exists or not is up for debate. however, let's pretend it did. this does not make it true. leonardo da vince did not exist until the 1500's. this would be almost fifteen centuries after the Lord Jesus Christ died. therefore there are certain questions that can be posed. for example: where did da vince obtain the information that makes up this code? if he obtained his information from the source that inspired him to paint the so called "last supper" i am not impressed. this so-called work of art as beautiful as it is is so flawed in details it is truly sad. anyone that has basic knowledge of the bible knows this. i once asked a family member that was trying to convince me of the validity of the da vinci code where he (da vince) had obtained his information. her response was that a catholic pope had informed him of all the details. i find this laughable! even if it were true, the catholic church was not founded until almost four centuries after Christ and his original disciples died. so much for a pope informing da vince of what is actually blasphemy and gross disrespect against Jesus Christ. even if it were true, this is completely against everything the bible teaches, and a complete distortion of the truth about Jesus christ. the ignorance out there is very sad!!

    I'll openly admit, I know this book is fiction, but I agree with a lot of the scenarios that were mentioned within. I have always felt the Catholic church was hiding important facts that would alter that faith as we all know it. I wholeheartedly believe that not everything in that book had any roots in reality, however, I also believe that a lot of what was touched on and suggested in DaVinci Code holds enough truth that if it wasn't totally true itself, it certainly would lead someone to discover that truth themselves.

    Geez, my answer is almost as cryptic as the novel was!! lol
