Parrots feel the difference of a new home acutely. They need time to adjust to be comfortable in a new house, so any changes in your parrot's environment may cause a temporary silence.
When you rearrange furniture around your parrots, sometimes they show you they're unhappy through silence. It could also be something you're wearing that day if it's new. Try changing items in their view back to the way they were and see if your parrot starts talking again.
Another parrot can make your original parrot uncomfortable. You might have to put the new animal in a different room and slowly adjust your parrot to seeing it.
Your parrot may be frightened by an animal outside or a noise it hears, causing temporary silence until your parrot feels the threat is gone.
Being bored makes parrots miserable. Parrots are lively creatures, so talk to them every day, which gives them something to do and new words to learn.
Parrots stop talking if their health is poor. If your bird was talking before and nothing else is wrong, you may need to seek veterinarian's care.
