    In my opinion:

    "Let us go" could be used both ways: As a demand or plead to someone or as an indicator to your companion that it is time to leave, although to me it sounds a little bit formal in tone.

    "Let's go", a contraction of the former phrase, is much more used to indicate someone that you intend or want to leave with them.
