The edition I had was in two parts and I only had the first part. I read it while my child was sick and I wasn't getting any sleep. I know I read it, but I remember very little of it, as without sleep I really couldn't process or retain it. I remember a ball scene vaguely, a training of troops scene and a battle scene and that is about it. I did enjoy it, and I remember thinking that it must have influenced Woody Allen's Love and Death.
I read it years ago in Junior College. I was an English major and took a Masterpieces of Literature class and that was one of the books that we were required to read. I think once you get into it (and it takes some getting into) you will be swept up by it. Happy reading. If you've read it all and found it boring you and I have different tastes in literature m'dear! :)
My Grandma tried... but she passed away before she finished.
Yes, I have read it. I enjoyed it, although it is long.
It is not the most boring book ever. That title would go to the phone book for New York City. At least War and Peace has a plot.
I did..back in November,i think could not find anything else at the time,so I decided to read it....i definitely have to agree......
