If you answer questions with non-helpful, not useful answers like, "I don't know. Sorry", do you understand that it looks like a very lame effort to get unearned points?

I like to go to unanswered questions periodically to see if I have an answer. Sometimes I don't but I feel that the question should be answered so I'll answer it with an I don't know type answer to get it back on the board for consideration. In such a case I don't expect to receive points and don't care if I do or not. Sometimes a person will ask me to look at a particular question for one reason or another and I won't have an answer so I'll say that as an answer. I don't expect points in that case either.

That's a good point, so to speak, but consider: answering that question removes it from the much-read "Needs answers" list where someone who does know the answer might see and answer it, and buries it in its category, assuming its even in the correct category to begin with, where it's less likely to be seen. That's my theory, anyway. Probably six of one, half dozen of the other. BTW, I can't rate your answers still. Very helpful info, though, though, and I appreciate your input, as always:)

That gold trophy thing with your level that takes the place of a badge if you're in the top ten for the previous week. Shoot, you're prolly so used to it, you don't even notice, anymore, LOL. I had it once mostly mod points, I think.

Yea, I've had it for a few weeks. I was very surprised when I first got it. I was like what the heck? I had to go into the old questions to find out what it was all about. lol I'm a bit of a space cadet when it comes to those kinds of things. I was very proud I'll admit. Thanks for noticing. Surely you've had it more than once. If not then that is just too bad. You are an excellent ABer as far as I am concerned. Just your 10 commandments answer should get you at least a month of trophies.
