Question

Help answer this question below.

I re-installed Windows 98, and audio and video files don't work properly. A dialog box says "another application must be using it." What could be wrong, and how do I fix it?

After you re-install Windows 98, you should re-install the software of your audio card. Then, check if it is functioning correctly.
Only after there are no visible problems in the device manager, install your audio and video software’s.

    You can do it by
    1. Running the MSCONFIG file, and go to the Startup tab.
    2. Uncheck audio software’s that set to start up when Windows does.
    3. Do not use more then one audio player application at the same time.

    Good luck!
