Was Jesus created for the sole purpose of coming to earth to die for man's sins or did he exist before that?

Jesus was not created. He is the Creator. He and the Father are one. John 1:1-14 explains that Jesus Christ existed before His birth on earth and that He "became flesh". Before He even created the Universe, He knew we would sin and that He would have to bled, suffer, and die in order to atone for our sins so that we could be saved and reign with Him in Glory. This was God's plan before the world began, He knew what He had to do and did it volentarally because of His love for you and me.(see John 3:16) I hope that this helps you . Jesus was not created. He existed in the very beginning. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was God and the Word was with God - John 1:1

y'shua is the logos/the word. Genesis in early jewish scriptures read. In the beggining the logos/memra of adonai created the heaven and the earth. Jewish thought was this that the memra/logos of the lord was the visible part of Elohim/God. Thereforefore there is but 1 God, god the father who is unbeggoton,and his only begotten son. And so the idea of the seen and the unseen God was very much a part of the Judaism of the time of Christ. The God who could be seen was not a created God. According to ancient Jewish belief, the Memra was 'begotten' of the Father before time, that is to say, God brought forth from Himself the Word. All other created things were brought forth through the Word. This is very much New Testament theology. Great question Psycho. Speaking as a non-Christian, if Christ existed, he must have always existed and will continue to do so. How many times has Christ presented himself (I'm sure I will get plenty of Bible verses disagreeing with my answer) that we are not aware of, and how many more times will he present himself before the end of civilization is probably enumerate.

As pointed out already, Jesus - or rather "God the Son" - is uncreated, eternal, and eternally generated/ing from the Father. Like the Father, He is what He is and because He is. He does what He does because of Who He is.

According to John 4:34 “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that SENT ME, and to finish HIS work”. For Jesus to have been sent he must have existed beforehand. This is in common with everybody who exist as souls before they are born on earth. Was he created to die for man’s sin? He said a few things about his mission but dying for man’s sins was not one of them.

Beginning to End, the Alpha and the Omega.... so ,yeah , u could say that....Jesus genealogy and prophecies run all through it...from Adam,Seth, David to Mary(gen.3 'womans seed, offspring' ,Jesus will crush Satan in the HEAD) Genesis , the SEED PLOT....the PLAN.....that was ACCOMPLISHED....

In John 8:58 Jesus says, "before Abraham was, I AM."

I believe that he existed long before he came. But references to him are even found (IN a way of interpratation) in the old testament. Rememebr when Issac was to sacrifice his son and God stopped him before he could? There was a ram caught in some brambles nearby and so instead of his son, he sacrificed a ram as pure as snow. I believe this was (IMHO) also representive of the Christ and his sacrifice.
