You might want to check your manual and make sure you're not putting too much oil in your car. That's what it sounds like.

If that's not it, then something is causing your oil pressure to be way too high, or the filter was not installed properly.

    Forget my last answer.

After thinking about it a little, I think I might know what your problem is. If you had just changed the oil before the last blow out, it could be that you forgot to make sure that the old seal wasn't still stuck up there. If so, the new one wasn't doing you any good, and the pressure around the old one blew it out.

If it just happened (ie. you didn't just change the oil) then you probably have a bad oil pump. Sometimes the bipass will get clogged and cause it blow the seal, as well.

Hope it's the first senario. Changing that pump can be a bugger.

The problem ended up being the oil filter was not on tight enough. Due to the high pressure the Porsche 944 runs, the specs require 14 ftlbs of torque on the filter to prevent the oil from escaping. This is much more than the torque on most cars. Thats what I get for making an assumption on how much to tighten the filter.
