Help answer this question below.

I think if people are happy with who/where they are they have no regrets. Unhappy people have regrets. What do you think?

If you have no regrets, you most likely haven't lived much. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone has done things they wish they hadn't done.

i like kybears comment, I'd agree that if you haven't got any regrets you haven't lived much happily or otherwise, or you're just extremely ignorant, Generally my regrets come from something to do with me (eg, wasn't as strong as i should have been on an issue) or something i've done to someone else (eg, hurt them without thinking). But i am still very happy with my life and where i am :)

- I disagree with "if you haven't any regrets you haven't lived much happily or otherwise". Everything you experience, every choice you make, brings you to where you are and who you are today. I know many happy people who have regrets, albeit lesser ones. I am a happy person and have a couple regrets...for example; iwish i had paid more attention in psychology, sometimes its hard for me to figure people out.

- You can take classes in psychology if you wish and remedy that regret. I have zero regrets because every choice/experience was necessary to bring me to the place I am now and I am happy there. Thank you for your answer DD and Happy Wednesday! :)

I believe that's it's possible to be happy with who you are but still have regrets - the difference is that you don't let those regrets hold you back; instead, you focus on how to keep from having similar regrets.

- If you have regrets doesn't that mean you wish you'd done things differently? If you had made other choices, how do you know where you would be now? That's why I have no regrets because every choice/experience brought me here and I have no idea where or who I would be if I had done anything differently. - Yes, that's another way of looking at things - if you hadn't made the choices you had made, things might be totally different. I hadn't thought that. Hmm.... :)

- I disagree with you as I did with Kybear. If you are happy where you are now then each step along the way got you there...your warts as well as your beauty marks....your failures as well as your successes. When you know how to do better, you do better. Learning from everything is what shapes you. If you regret then you must also regret the knowledge you gained from the consequences of your actions/inactions. You can't know what a different choice/decision/attitude/action would have brought you or who you would be today. Other choices may have ended very badly...much worse. You cannot know that. Just my opinion. Thank you for yours! :)
