Ford sells its trucks with the "extras" packaged together, which determines the trim level such as XLT. Depending on make and year, the XLT is the moderately priced mid- to lower-trim package. The trim levels start with the basic XL package. In the 2010 Ford F-150, XLT is two trim levels above the XL. What comes standard in the XLT package depends on the year and make of the truck.Source:
