Help answer this question below.
Your Sims attend high school during their teenage phase and will graduate and move on to adulthood regardless of their grades. Two variables that are up to you is how many valuable relationships they cultivate and what skills they gain. Teens reach adulthood after 15 days in "Sims 2" or 14 days in "Sims 3." You should have your teen earn good grades in high school by completing homework assignments and upgrading her skills, which include cooking, athletics, logic and handiness. Doing these things will make it easier for your teen to get a job once she moves out and allow her to receive promotions more quickly. While teens can learn skills from all of the same objects as adults, including musical instruments, chessboards, books and telescopes, they also can be tutored by knowledgeable adults. Because teens spend fewer hours per day in school than children, they have enough time to take on part-time jobs. All part-time jobs have equivalent career fields and reaching the third rank in any part-time job will allow your teen to start at the second rank in the matching career field once he gets a full-time job. However, once your teen has a job, you need to keep his grades up to at least a C-. Should your teen receive an F, he will be fired and need to get better grades before taking on another job. Teens are able to make friends and form romantic relationships, albeit relationships that are more limited than those Sim adults can have. Because many job promotions, especially political appointments, require that your Sim have a set number of friends, forming these relationships can be especially helpful because your teen's friends will grow up with her. The best way to build social relationships is to get your teen out of the house and into the world by having her ask permission to go out or by having her sneak out after curfew, which can be done between 10 p.m. and midnight. The only thing that can prevent your Sim teens from graduating and becoming an adult--because graduation is based on a timeline rather than on any actions you take--is death. Teens are just as susceptible to death as their older counterparts, so avoid having them repair electronic devices if they have low handiness scores or surrounding them with fire hazards. You should also keep an eye on their hunger meters. If those drop too low for too long, your Sim will starve. Once you reach the 14- or 15-day mark, your teen becomes a young adult. If you are playing "Sims 3," you will also choose your young adult's lifetime wish, which are based on how well she spent her teen stage. At this point, you can have her move out and start a new household or stay at home.Grades
