Philosophically speaking: No. There is no way to find that out.
It could all be a preset script with the script including our feelings of having free will. A pretty unlikely explanation, but possible.
It is a bit like God. There can be no real proof, one way or the other, but some people just know he exist, while others just know he does not.
I go with Occams razor. If the explanation given is more complex and unlikely than the behaviour explained, then the explanation is probably wrong.
I would imagine you might be able to control your future if you were King and Lord of your own kingdom.
you have full control under your limited knowledge, current disciplines and view of the future.
