Help answer this question below.
I won't. I believe in prayer and have seen the power of prayer.
It seems to be billions, perhaps trillions of "prayers" have been issues to end all wars, cure all diseases and so on and so forth and yet they continue unabated and what makes it even more suspicious is that "people of faith" just never figure this fact out.
Just how many unanswered prayed do you need to be convinced you're doing nothing but wasting breath and playing the "stupid" game with the arrogant preachers and clergy who keep taking your money?
Wouldn't it be more like talking to the ceiling?
When the floor doesn't talk back?
I ALMOST disagree with you Legend. Prayer can change things within your mind. If you think a deity is supporting you, you can do great things. That is not to say that the deity must exist, but its like learning to ride a bike. If you think dad is still holding on, you are fine, whether he is or not. However, if you expect your prayers to make a difference in the physical world, don't hold your breath.
It is not just talking to the floor. Just because there is still war and bad things in this world does not mean there is not a God or that prayer doesn't work. All it proves is that we are sinful beings, and that there are evil forces also working in this world, and also free will. Yes God is all powerful, but he is like a parent to us. He gives us the right information, and the right skills, but we have to choose how to use them correctly. If we make a poor decision, sometimes He will fix it, but sometimes we have to learn from it. I have known many many answered prayers, and miracles. Perhaps it feels as if you are talking to the floor because God knows your heart, and knows that you are not sincere and believing in your prayers. And if that is not true, there are infinite other reasons why your prayers may not be answered. Only God knows, and we just have to trust in Him.

When you seriously think about life, the world, and human nature.
So why did Jesus pray to his Father...in heaven...
And he taught his followers to also pray...not to himself, but to Jehovah...his Father...
It is much more than just speaking to the floor..,.,
don`t think like that bruv you know why the messiah come here for ....
And the floor hears it because it is composed of matter. Matter holds frequencies. There is nonexistent non space between every molecule. Light rays transfer your gamma rays from your brain as prophecied by your own thoughts and attitudes to set forth into action the result of your wishes.
when you realize you did not trully believe in the first place because you never knew the serenity and help HE sends.....:)
Never.
Prayer- masturbation for the soul.

Do you think people who use their religion as an excuse to hate others who don't agree with them are not really true believers?

Just out of curiosity, how can you know that you will NEVER come upon new information that will cause you to rethink past beliefs?

Prayer does work

I have seen so much come from prayer that I could never change what I believe and what I have seen.

I don't question that you believe, I just wonder how you can state categorically that there is nothing in the present or future universe that can possibly change your mind. Can you imagine a hypothetical situation in which such a situation would take place?

No, my faith has been tried and tested many times but all that has happened is that my faith has gotten stronger. I have been the recipient of prayer that changed my life and I will not change my feelings. Thank you for showing respect for my belief. I appreciate that. Many times people that don't believe what I believe start to castigate me for my feelings. I don't do that to others and don't like it being done to me. Thank you for showing respect!
