I've been asked to stay with friends when on the road for business.When do I know I've over stayed my welcome at a close friends home?

    Unless the duration of the stay has been agreed in advance I'd use the 3 day rule...

    Staying with friends is like fish after 3 days you should be packing. Unless they insist on you staying..Go with the 3 day rule. It never fails, and they will always ask you back..Don't forget a Thank You note after your Home. When you are asked again to come back find something special to bring with you as a gift.Maybe fancy soaps or a Fine Bottle of Wine, something they wouldn't spend the money on. I have personally found this to be a delightful suprise when we have overnight guests..It will never fail...Good Luck...............

    ask them. then if they have to much pride to say youve overstayed your welcome, then you havent so stay there longer.
    but throw them a few bucks or buy them dinner or some shit
