Talent in poker comes from alot of mathematical logic, bankroll management, understanding of betting value and postion, reading abilities based on betting patterns, etc.. No one wins all the time. Winning in poker is a process. Winning Players are more so mentally strong and mature then they are talented.
Poker is also very challenging and causes players to think about the game all of the time. It is so intertwined into a players mind, that it can cause a pretty dreary life, even among winning players.
A winning player is to be respected, as not many win, at the same time, one could make a case for pitying someone who has dedicated their life to poker.

but one of the things my dad tought me was no mater how good you
think you are never play for money. maby a five to ten doller game with frends but
never for some real money.

encourage her to play but don't involve money involve chips and when shes about 13-14 slowly involve money. but her in maths club encourage her to learn about new things she could do

i enjoy poker, i think it's a great game, it simply needs to be communicated to the prospective player that "gambling" has its ups and downs. Part of the appeal of poker is the challenge to be a winning player.
if you're going to play poker alot, you tend to navigate towards real money play, because that is the only option for true competition.
