People keep calling my best friend gay, and I don't know how to tell if she is or not.
Gay is (unfortunately) slang for dumb/lame at the moment.
You are homosexual (gay) when you are sexually attracted to those who have the same gender as you. As to what makes someone gay? That's debatable. (like HaoieZ mentioned)
Whether your friend is homosexual or not, it doesn't matter.
straight out ask her if it makes you feel weird i found that when alot of people are saying that 90% of the time its true or she might be bi and not ready to tell u

If she acts on what she thinks. Lets say she thinks girls are attractive and has sexual fantasies of them, then well she can be classified as "gay." but she's officially gay when she acts on those thoughts. like going out with a girl or doing osmething with a girl. I think it's actions and thoughts combined.
