This is my church
And this is the info page about contemporary worship.
Now, when I was at their worship session, the songs were kind of contemporary, but I was hoping for a faster, more exhilarating beat.
When I asked one of the players of the band up there, whom I've known since an Expository Writing class four years ago, if we ever play something with an energizing tempo and rhythm, I showed him examples of two Worship Jamz songs from YouTube. Here was the message:
Of all the Worship Jamz songs I've flipped through, this must be the fastest one. I miss worship sessions with this type of music; it's been some years. When was the last time our worship sessions had something with this kind of beat and rocking-out?
And if there are any worship sessions I -don't- know about that are at UCC and have these quick kinds of rhythms, what and what times are they?
By the way, here's a more familiar song - "Trading My Sorrows" - on steroids:
Collecting all the Worship Jamz CDs is one thing, but singing them with the rest of the congregation is on a higher league, and something I kinda hope to do some time.
His response was:
man, I cant get into that. Its tooo.... i dont know.. Its too much of something I am for sure of that though.
Well Answerbaggers, what do you think it's too much of?
