I don't know about Jennie Craig, it's not an option over here. Weightwatchers is a good support group and has a proven track record. I understand the need to look good on the day, it's a big pressure. Just remember though, he asked you to marry him as you are. He loves you as you are. The weight thing is a healthy bonus.

Losing weight is a mathematical process.. Burn more calories than you take in.... That said,. I have many folks I see while volunteering at the local clinic who get great results at curves for women. Between the 2 I'd say WW

If it is your big day, why don't you enjoy it at the size you are now? Just plan on staying the same size and eating healthy so you don't drive your dressmaker nuts with lots of last minute alterations.

Big is beautiful and you should embrace who you are because you are loved and in love.

I am currently doing Jenny Craig, and it certainly works for me. the weight came off at about 1-2 pounds per week for me (I'm 5'2 and I started at 132 lbs), but it is definitely real weight, and it stays off. if you decide to do it, my best advice to you is to have someone close to you go through the program with you (my mom did it with me, and it was such a huge help for me to have a sort of teammate to keep me motivated), find a Jenny Craig counselor who you like (the more you like them, the more motivated you are to lose the weight -- you'll find that you don't want to let them down), and get the Rising Crust Pizza in your first week. it's super good.

however, Jenny Craig might not be a great option if you're pressed for money (for my mother and I, our combined total for one week of Jenny food is usually around $200, plus the start-up fee is a bit hefty) or if you have a large amount of weight to lose -- if you have to stay on Jenny for a long time, you'll start to get tired of recycling the same meals every week, and it'll make it hard to adhere to your plan.

if you have a great deal of weight to lose, Weight Watchers would probably be a better option for you -- there are more food possibilities, so it's easier to follow for longer. my sister did Weight Watchers for about a year, and lost more than 70 lbs.

however, Weight Watchers does have it's drawbacks. I chose Jenny over Weight Watchers because I was uncomfortable with the weekly weigh-in meetings where you have to weigh in a group of other members and then attend a meeting and discuss your week with the others. if you benefit from a sort of support group setting, then Weight Watchers would probably be best for you. Jenny Craig, on the other hand, is very one-on-one: you show up, go into a little office or cubicle with your counselor, weigh in, discuss your week with your counselor, build your menu for the next week, get your food, pay, and leave.

    so, basically.
if you like personal attention, privacy, a structured program, and/or have a small to moderate amount of weight to lose, I would recommend Jenny Craig.
if you like to have support from a group, great flexibility in your diet, and/or have a moderate to large amount of weight to lose, I would recommend Weight Watchers

Listen to me, I am on Jenny Craig since august and have lost a total of 15 pounds. They DO teach you about portion control . Their foods are portion controlled anyway so you dont have to worry about that! And the food is delicious! They are so supportive and they keep you going! Youre better off doing jenny craig my friend!

Weight Watchers worked great for me. I didn't last 4 days on jenny craig and it alot more money. WW was very easy to do even going out to dinner so many menus have WW stuff on them. I lost 35lbs in 5 months on WW.

If that is the only two choices, I would pick weight watchers, as they seem to teach you about portion control and calorie counting.
