Is there a freeware/shareware FTP for Mac?

      If you're running MacOS X, then you already have it built in.

      Open a command line (run the “Terminal” application) and type this into it:  man ftp

      There's also FTP support built into the finder, but I find that at least under MacOS X 10.2.8, this is rather buggy.  Under the finder, go to Go→Connect to Server and then, in the resulting dialog, enter into the Address: field, ftp://<username>@<host> or just ftp://<host> for anonymous FTP.

    Yes. This link will take you to a page full of apps that you can pick from. They are NOT Universal Binary, they are for PPC Macs. At the top of the page you can change the selection to "Universal Binary" if you are using an Intel Mac (type in FTP, and select Universal Binary).
