I Heard, Long Ago, that a High Percentage of Nursing Home Residents Said to Have Dementia, Actually had B12 Deficiency.
I agree.
As you stated, more common organic disorders/deficiencies/medication side effects can affect psychological state.
A good psychiatrist will suggest that a patient get various things that can affect psychological state ruled out.
If someone hasn't been to their GP for possible reasons for their moods/emotions,etc,then that's just neglecting their lives,maybe they need to be seen by a psyche Dr.
