You cannot lose contact lens in your eye, according to the Contact Lens Centers, because the back of the eye is a closed system. The membrane that covers the eyeball and lining of the eyelid, is attached to the eye socket, thus preventing a contact lens from entering your body.Source:
If you pull the lower lid down you will see that the tissue that lines the back of the lid folds back on itself to line the front of the eye. The same with the upper lid except the fold is much further back allowing the lens to slide out of view. One day the lens will work itself down with no harm done. In the meantime put on a new lens and one day when you take out the new lens the old lens will come out with it according to the consultant to http://www.coloredcontacts.com
