Help answer this question below.
HDMI cable is a digital method of transmitting audio and video from a output source to a television or computer monitor. With HDMI, a single cable carries digital video, surround sound and configuration data to the device that receives the signal. An HDMI cable connects an audio or video output such as a DVD player or video game console on one end to a high definition monitor on the other. HDMI cables transfer uncompressed high definition video and audio signals. HDMI is a digital connection, so the connection is low-loss when compared with analog interfaces like component cables. HDMI is plug and play and transmits data via a single cable, so one cable can replace the five component cables otherwise needed to connect an output to a high definition display. An HDMI cable may be identified by its thick gauge and the identical rectangular connectors on both ends. Although HDMI cables are expensive, they are compatible with a variety of DVD players, video game consoles and audio systems. The quality of the connection justifies the higher cost.Function

I purchased a Vizio 26 inch HDTV and no matter what I do, I can't get the colors to look right. I've tried adjusting everything, but to no avail. I even returned it and got a new one; no better. I have the TV hooked up via HDMI cable to a HD cable box.
