    The first computer had a built-in monitor which measured nine inches. It was on the Commodore PET (Personal Electronic Transactor), which debuted in June 1977. The built-in-screen design was thought to be very stylish at the time.

    1960 DEC PDP monitor was long (1.23 feet). When CRT's were REAL CRT's.
    At the end of that long CRT tube was your round viewing screen that would burn your eyes out into cataracts in your twenties ....
