Help answer this question below.
No. Much like alot of everything in the bible and Book of Mormon, they are sybolic.
Don't quote me but, when we bless the water they say,
...this water to the souls that drink of it, that they may do it IN REMEMBERENCE of the blood of thy son WHICH WAS SHEED FOR THEM. and so on and so on
and if i'm not mustaken the bread (The body of Christ) is to bear witness unto him
No. They believe they are symbolic of Jesus' blood and body, but that they are in no way transformed into His blood and body.
No.
They are symbolic, and taken IN REMEMBRANCE of his blood and body.
If we believed they were literally his body and blood, eating them would make us cannibals.
I believe it is the Catholics who believe that somehow simple wine/water, bread/wafers are truly transformed into blood, flesh of Jesus....oy!
I thought those were the Catholics...Man, all of this has stuff has me so confused that I don't even know which god to believe in anymore or which religion is the true one...
The bread and water simply represents Jesus Christ's body and blood--it's not to be considered literal. When Jesus broke the bread and served the water, he wasn't tearing his own flesh and bleeding into a cup. It's symbolic.

Why do non-Mormons keep on suggesting that Mormons do not eat tinned food. True, Joseph Smith didn't eat timmed food, but then again, there wasn't much tinned food around when he was with us.

You're reading Do Mormons believe the water and bread of the Sacrament are the literal body and blood of Jesus?

For the exact wording of the blessings on the bread and water, see Doctrine and Covenants section 20, verses 77 and 79.
