    Any dog can get arthritis, including Chow Chow's. Of special concern to the Chow Chow breed is canine hip dysplasia, which leads to arthritis in the hips. The condition is known to be genetic for this breed. Arthritis can also occur in elderly dogs or those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.
