I'm a lefty and I use my right hand. I think it's just the way I was taught. Everyone in my family is right handed so the mouse just stayed on the right side. I just passively started using my right hand instead of my left to control the mouse.

Well my brother is left handed and he still uses his right hand for the mouse. He says that it would be extremely uncomfortaable to reach over with his left hand.

I'm right handed, but use the mouse with my left hand.
I can't brush my teeth or use a pen with my left hand, but it feels perfectly natural to use the mouse with my left hand.

When I was little, I thought you were supposed to use the mouse with your left hand, because someone placed it on that side of the keyboard. But then I realized I was wrong, and I learned how to do it with my right. I still use my left hand a lot - it's especially useful when you take notes.

I use mine with my left, even though I'm righty, because that's how first-person-shooter video games feel most natural(rt hand on directional buttons)and that's what I originally bought a computer for:-)

oddly enough, using my left or right hand seem no different... i'm just better at one than the other. when writing, i use my left or right hand, when using the mouse, i use my left or right hand, pretty much with anything, it just depends on which one is closer the the target so to speak, its funny how some people have such trouble using both hands :P
