    Oor Galooly -

Anything on World War 2. I had a book called Pendu à Auschwitz (Hung at Auschwitz) and it was on the life of a guy called Sam Kissel. This guy went through it all, he was eventually hung at Auschwitz but miraculously survived. I don't think anyone had a rouger time in WW 2 that this guy, read this book and get back to me if anyone had it worse.

A Short History of the World, by Sir Jeffrey Blainey. Fantastic book about the development of us, from 200,000 years ago to today - sorta like a ConTiki Tour of history (If it's Chapter 12, it must be Rome!)
