    MONEY & self esteem issues. Maybe they don't realize they are as pretty as everyone else thinks they are but they know its quick cash. Or maybe they have a drug problem & they are so stoned they don't realize the impact it will have on them later in life.

    Well you could argue they have been naturally lucky to have talents that can be used to earn money. WHy not use that? What's the moral problem?

    You could easily ask "Why would a really intelligent and brilliant woman be willing to become a particle physicist?" Just making use of their particular talents. Neither is morally superior. It is just taking advantage of the gifts you have been lucky enough to be born with.

    And it applies to men just as much of course...

    EDIT: Oh and don't assume they're not intelligent. Being sexually desirable and intelligent are not mutually exclusive. Again it could be argued that anyone that makes a wad of cash from their natural talents is bloody intelligent. Better than earning nothing. And many have the brains and acumen to enter production and direction where they can continue to earn money after their looks may have faded somewhat. Doesn't sound unintelligent to me... Most earn more than I do :D

    maybe they've realized their "gift" of good looks and are giver-uppers and failures. maybe they werent educated well, dropped outta school, didnt feel like goin back and needed quick easy good money without use of brains. IMHO.

    I believe that the question should be why any woman would like to become a porn star? A physically beautiful woman is no different than any other woman. We can't do anything about the external, just what's in the inside.
