have you spun out lately, got stuck if so than that would cause you light to come one and it should go out on its own in a short time its normal however if it dose not go out check your hand or e-brake most of the newer cars are equipped with traction control. when you get into a slick place and tires start to spin your traction control kicks in and idles down your engine to help you get unstuck. most of these vehicles have a ets switch that turns this feature off the ones that are not equipped with this switch have it incorporated into the hand brake. if it is up or (pulled) it will disable this system causing it to turn on that low trac light or maybe a t/c off light. do that and you will be just fine as long as the light goes out if it dose not than you problem need to see your mechanic and have them inspect your car. keep in mind its perfectly normal for it to come on when you "spin" a tire in the mud or snow even wet pavement so don't panic just watch it a few days and see what happens good luck
