Help answer this question below.
Here in Scotland if you are paid monthly then it is usually one months notice. Weekly paid only give one weeks.
That depends on what you want to leave as a reputation.
1 month for corporate reputation,2 weeks for most others,,at least a week if you want to use them for future reference,You have to think about future applications/jobs,,do you want this employer to give you a negative or even a cold reputation rating for a new job?
Always offer 2 weeks, no matter what. Some will take it and some will let you leave immediately. It looks better for you if you at least made the offer.
Each employer can set their own length of notice they demand in order for it not to appear on your employment record and, therefore, show you broke a contract with the employer. Two weeks is a standard notice but this may vary from employer to employer. When you take a job, you actually are agreeing to a contract and the employer is agreeing to pay you as part of the bargain.
The length of time has no bearing on the length of the notice you need to give unless there was an understanding, etc. at the time you were hired.
are there laws in Georgia on the distance an employee can travel to a job site before an employer should allow them to stay overnight?
