If you love children and enjoy spending time with them but don't want to work in a daycare setting there are many different job opportunities available that would allow you to work with them.
Pediatrician
Pediatricians are responsible for the health and well-being of children. Pediatricians treat children who are sick or injured, and perform well-child exams on children who are healthy. During well-child exams, pediatricians may offer advice to parents on nutrition, safety and sleep routines in order to help keep their child healthy.
Child Protection Social Worker
A child protection social worker investigates reports of child abuse and takes appropriate action to protect children who may be at risk, including removing them from the home or offering counseling services to the family.
Special Education Teacher
Special education teachers help guide and teach children who are generally unable to participate in a regular classroom setting due to a physical or mental disability.
Coach
A coach spends time with children of all ages teaching them the fundamentals of sports such as basketball, football or baseball.
Youth Minister
As a youth minister, you can guide children in their faith, help them learn to cope with problems and minister to others through lesson, activities and worship.
