Every car or truck has a clock displayed on the dashboard. Unfortunately, almost every car and truck has a different way of setting the time. Luckily, the Jeep Wrangler's clock is one of the easier clocks to change. All you need is a safety pin to set your clock.

Changing Your Clock's Time

You may have noticed to little buttons labeled "H" and "M." However, when you try to push the buttons, the time doesn't change at all. What you may have missed (because they are so small) are the little holes directly below them. These are the "Reset" buttons. To change the hours, press into the hole below the "H." Grab a safety pin (it's probably best to keep a pin in the glove compartment for this reason) and insert it, gently, into the hole. Pressing into the hole slightly will change the hours. Keep the pin pressed into the hole until the you have reached the correct hour. To change the minutes, you will follow this same pattern. Gently insert a safety pin into the hole under the "M" label. Hold the tiny button in with the pin until the correct minutes have been reached. Once you pull the pin out of the holes, the time will be set.

Problems with the Time

If this does not work, you may have a slightly larger problem on your hands. Consult your owner's manual to see what you should do if the clock will not reset even after you have pressed in the reset buttons. Sometimes, if a clock is not working properly, it can be the result of an electrical or interior computer problem. This may be a sign that there is something actually wrong with your vehicle. If this is the case, take your car to see a mechanic to ensure your Jeep lasts and always runs smoothly.
