  • Collection agencies have a mandate to update the credit bureau as to their client's status once per month. Additionally, credit bureaus update clients' credit reports once per month. Therefore, an update to a borrower's credit report could occur as early as 30 days or as late as 60 days after an infraction, depending upon reporting dates.
