CholestOff's active ingredients are derived from plant sterols, including such phytonutrients as phytosterols and phytostanols.
Function
The phytosterols and phytostanols in CholestOff function to prohibit the body from absorbing cholesterol from food.
Features
According to the product label, CholestOff's ingredients include plant sterols, calcium carbonate, tribasic calcium phosphate, croscarmellose sodium and silicon dioxide.
Uses
Take two CholestOff caplets two times daily with a glass of water or other beverage. The caplets should be taken 15 minutes before a meal for optimal effectiveness.
Benefits
CholestOff is rather inexpensive, with bottles selling for less than $10.
Considerations
The Federal Drug Administration has not approved CholestOff. Despite its claims, CholestOff has no legitimate scientific studies to prove its effectiveness.
