Pantene is one of the best shampoos for dry or color-treated hair. It's gentle and will not strip the color from your hair. As for box dyes, when I still highlighted my hair, I used Ferria. It was gentle and lasted several months longer than expected. I am not sure if it would work as well for a complete dye job, but you could give it a try.
Olive oil will help to give mosture back in your hair and it makes it feel soft, conditioned, healthy and the natural shine is a big plus. For the gentlest permenant haircolor I would use (perfect 10) by nice and easy this haircolor was shown above all the rest to be the least damaging, gentlest and leaving your hair in better condition than you started out with . To see shades, why to choose perfect 10 , look at reviews and more go to (www.perfectcolorin10.com) for all the infomation.
In the Asian food section of the groceries, look for a can of Coconut milk. It should be about $1. Shake the can well before opening it. Pour about 1/4 cup into a mug and nuke it until its hot but tolerable to the skin... Then use it like conditioner.. .Leave it in for minute or two. This really fixes hair quick! Save the rest and do this every couple weeks...
Hold off dying it for at least month or so if possible, and get into some good hydrating and conditioning products, also ensure that your shampoo isn't too abrasive and is taking too much oil out of your hair (It's best to buy the more expensive brands than the cheaper ones).
Hot oil treatment could work - either bought, or using slightly warmed olive oil, leaving on for ten minutes, then shampooing out. Eggs can are also good - containing proteins - though when you wash it out, make sure the water isn't too hot or the egg will cook. If avocadoes or bananas are available and cheap, they can also be mashed and applied to the hair.
I don't know what country you're in, but I have found Alberto V05, Pantene and Sunsilk hair conditioner/shampoos very good, and these are reasonably priced. For dye, I go for Loreal Superior Preference, it's permenant and the colour stays put, while leaving my hair in good condition.
Most of them are pretty okay, but to get my hair back to health, I really try to use a deep conditioner once a week at least. For bleached hair, I might even do it twice this week and then once thereafter. I really like Pantene Pro V conditioners. Go with one that you should leave on for at least 3 minutes. Then if you can, take a shower cap or some Saran wrap and cover your hair with it for the 3 minutes it soaks in. I would suggest leaving it on for about 5 minutes, even though the directions may say 3. Rinse with cold water, because it gives it just a little extra shine. I might even get a leave in conditioner, for some added coverage. Also, mayo is good for hair, but you have to shampoo it alot afterward because it will become really greasy. Hope that helps!

You're reading I have "drugstore boxed" dyed my hair for 3 years. My hair seems dryed and simply not healthy. What are some home remedies that will help my hair look healthy again? Also, What is the best "box" haircolor brand to buy for the future?
