German is a fairly difficult language to learn, but that it is a good language for logically-minded people, as it is a very structured language, say the experts at How To Learn Any Language, a website founded and maintained by polyglots. On the Other: No Language is Easy
Learning another language is akin to learning a new way to think. Some students may find German more difficult than, say, Spanish, but very few people are able to pick up languages with ease. Moreover, European languages are generally easier for native European speakers to learn. It is generally more difficult for us to learn languages like Korean, Mandarin or Japanese.
Bottom Line
If you're looking for a language to learn, German is a solid pick. German culture is rich and tends to appeal to intellectuals.
