Including wedding registry information in a wedding invitation gives the appearance that you are asking for gifts. It is, therefore, considered tasteless and should be avoided. While many are computer savvy and can find this information online with little effort, older people such as grandparents may not know how to access this information. Registering for gifts is a service to your guests, because it tells them what you need rather than leaving them to find the perfect gift for you on their own. Enclosing the registry with your invitation makes gift-giving easier for your guests.

While including a wedding registry with your invitation may make you look greedy, it is your special day. You know your guests best. If you think they will expect or appreciate you sending the registry information, by all means do so. Just make sure it's a separate sheet. Never have the registry information printed on your invitation.
