Dr. Royal Raymond Rife was an inventor who believed he could cure disease through sympathetic resonance, which states one vibrating object will trigger vibrations in another similar object. Dr. Rife built a machine, called a Rife machine, to test his theories.
Function
A Rife machine uses specific electro-magnetic frequencies to vibrate the cells of viruses, bacteria and parasites in the hopes of destroying them and curing the ailment.
Features
A Rife machine typically features a control box, amplifier, tuner, electrodes and resonators, which are handheld metal cylinders that carry the vibrations into the body.
Benefits
According to Dr. Rife and his devotees, a Rife machine can treat any number of conditions, including cancer, chronic fatigue, depression, arthritis, allergies and even AIDS.
History
Dr. Rife was born in Nebraska in 1888. He invented his first Rife machines in the 1930s.
Considerations
While there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to its effectiveness, the Rife machine has never withstood serious scientific testing. And many modern Rife machines are merely fraudulent money-making devices, sharing little in common with Dr. Rife's original invention.
