  • A heated pool can extend the swimming season from early spring well into late fall. However, it's expensive to heat a pool. Utilizing free energy from the sun to heat pool water is a very economical solution.

    Totally Free Energy

The pool's existing pump is used to move water through the solar heating system, and heat is provided by the sun, so absolutely no additional energy is required.

    Water Flow

In a pool's filter system, water is drawn in by a pump, passes through a filter to a return line. When a solar collector is installed, "T" connections are placed in the return line with valves to direct the flow of water either back to the pool or through the solar.

    Automatic Temperature Controls

Temperature sensors can be installed with electrically-controlled valves so a desired pool temperature can be set. The flow of water is automatically diverted to the heat collectors when the pool water falls below the preset temperature.

    Solar Collectors

Water flows through pipes or tubing inside the air-tight solar collectors. The inside of the collectors are black and have a glass or clear cover to collect heat from the sun and transfer it to the water.

    Solar Collection Locations

Solar pool collectors can be mounted on the ground next to the pool, or on the roof of a nearby tool/pool shed.
