Types
Salonpas comes in different product types for pain relief. Patches, gels and sprays are examples of Salonpas products available in U.S. drug stores.
Function
Salonpas products deliver analgesics such as capsaicin, menthol and methyl salicylate directly to the affected area through the skin, thus relieving the pain.
Time Frame
You can apply a single Salonpas product for up to eight hours.
Considerations
The manufacturer recommends applying Saonpas products no more than three times in a single day. Pregnant women, people with allergies and children under the age of 12 should consult their doctor before using Salonpas products.
