Bounty Hunter

Bounty hunters are people who seek out fugitives from the law and attempt to bring them back under custody. They are unofficial law enforcers who operate their own independent business or who work for an independent contractor. Usually, bounty hunters are hired by a bail bondsman who has lost his investment in a suspect who jumps bail.

Correctional Officer

Correctional officers, or prison guards, work to keep prison inmates in line and safe. They are charged with supervising prisoners to ensure not only the safety of the prisoners, but also the safety of the rest of the prison staff.

Crime Scene Technician

Crime scene technicians play a vital role in solving crimes through the collection of information and evidence at a crime scene. They then take the information they collect and analyze it to find clues as to how and when a crime happened so that the police have a better chance of solving the crime.

Lawyer

While obtaining a criminal justice degree can be the first step to becoming a lawyer, an additional degree is required before you can practice law. Lawyers work to defend or prosecute people who have been accused of crimes, depending on the chosen path.

Police Officer

Police officer is one of the jobs that first comes to mind when someone says his degree is in criminal justice. Police officers work not only to enforce laws, but also to protect the citizens of the areas they serve. Police officers are considered government officials.
