It's possible to get life insurance as a convicted felon, but it can be difficult to obtain. Whether you will get life insurance is based mainly on your conviction. Yes it is possible to get a life insurance but it depends on the crime you may get rated as a higher risk class.

In the event, you were convicted again for the same crime and ended up dying from it, then the insurer would not pay out the policy.
