Originally buried in Saint Louis Cemetery in Paris, the remains of Revolutionary War naval hero John Paul Jones (1747-92) were exhumed in 1905 and transported to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. A crypt in the Academy's chapel became the final resting place for Jones's remains eight years later.
