  • Bubble wrap is manufactured from pea-sized beads of polyethylene plastic resin. The resin is melted to form two sheets of clear plastic, one of which is punched with holes and suctioned to create bubbles. The second sheet is glued to the first, trapping air inside the bubbles. The final product is coated to prevent air from leaking out of the bubbles.
