When your woodshed is full, there is no need for anchors, but how about the late winter and spring when your woodshed is empty? Put in anchors so those March winds don't carry off your empty woodshed.

On the Other: Just a Waste of Time

How much effort do you want to put into an outbuilding that is just designed to hold a few cords of wood? Besides, the shed is never really empty, so the wood is always there to act as an anchor.

    Bottom Line

It is best to err on the side of caution. You never now when the shed will be empty or bad weather will hit. A few auger-type anchors will ensure that you don't have to build the shed twice.
