  • You may have noticed that your computer doesn't recognize your XBox games the way your XBox does. But if you prefer gaming on your PC, there is a solution. It's not legal to pirate games or download them without paying for them, but if you already own a copy of the game, then you can emulate it on your computer, which means you can play games on your PC instead of your TV.

    Getting the Emulator

Go to emulator-zone.com and scroll down. Look on the left-hand side of the page under the "Emulators" column to see a list of consoles. From there, choose the Microsoft XBox. Select the Xeon emulator on the next window. Save the file on your desktop when you download it for easy access.

    Installing the Emulator

Unzip the file using WinZip. Open the unzipped folder to reveal several files. Double-click the file that says "Xeon.exe" to open it. A window should pop up that says "Startup Complete." If it doesn't happen the first try, click to open it a couple more times. It should work on the second or third attempt. Exit out of the window that says "Startup Complete" and create a new file in the XBox Emulator file by right-clicking some empty space and selecting "New Folder." Title this new folder "XBox Games."

    Getting the ROMs

Download ISOs or ROMs (files that contain the actual games) from rom-freaks.net, doperoms.com or anywhere else that you can find XBox ROMs or ISOs. Unzip the files once you get them, then save the file in your "XBox Games" folder you created in the XBox Emulator file. Open your emulator folder and click "File" then "Open Rom." Select the game you want to run, and you should be able to begin playing your XBox games on your PC.
