HPV and HIV are two distinct sexually transmitted viruses that are not related to each other in any way. One is not a symptom of the other. HPV (human papilloma virus) is a virus that can cause genital warts and cervical cancer and is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the world. HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is the virus that causes AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). HPV and HIV can both be treated but not cured.
